This would make a possible model for Videotron and Wind Mobile in Canada and probably give Apple more carrier options in other countries also. It makes sense in a non-US Centric view.
And looking at "carrier acquisitions" here, Rogers acquired Fido ages ago, yet even though the networks worked on the same GSM bands, they still haven't merged. An AT&T purchase of T-mobile would probably take years for a merge to even occur, and a few technology changes. AT&T isn't going to retrofit T-mobile's network and change their frequencies, requiring all the existing customer base to change phones.
So even in a US Centric view, it makes a lot of sense. Basically, don't let an AT&T acquisition of T-mobile trick you into thinking this is a false rumor.

This doesn't spell doom for anyone or anything. Companies that are afraid of competition usually never stood much of a chance in the first place--Mr. Jobs has thrived under these conditions over the past 5+ years, I would expect nothing less now.

Actually apple often doesn't directly post changelogs for devs either. It's more a list of where they want you to test with many releases. They're kind of famous for that...

I am going to head out to mine at around 8 AM when the mall opens and the apple store is opening 1 hour early so at 9 AM hopefully I can grab my 16GB 3G ATT.
Even though ATT reception sucks in some places around OC, I don't use the 3G too much so it's better for the money and the free month.

A sure way to tell when a technology is running out of steam and nearing saturation is when the big new thing is a different colored case. Just look at Dell laptops or the iPod line. Not a good sign from Apple.

I saw and got my hands on a possible prototype IMac that had a touchable screen and a smug free screen. It also had the earlier uncoded virtual keyboard in the Lion OS. though it was only a prototype but a very realistic one for production. I believe it to be the IMac I and my father both got our hands on earlier this year.:apple:

Spring-loaded folders in the dock. So you can drag a file onto a folder in the dock and have it spring open - like in the Finder.
Actually you can already do this - I have my documents, applications and photos folders on the dock and they spring open etc...Excellent feature by the way. I think all they are really doing is giving you the ability to control how long you have to wait before they spring.....

I've read the post over again and if that was sarcasm, he's bad at it and should stop. Sarcasm on forums is bad form to begin with, the medium does not convey the emphasis appropriately.
Regardless, there are people that believe EXACTLY what he was extolling and they're sadly the sheep that marketting of the Android manufacturers have captured.

Why? You know, arguably the best Android phone out right now (the Nexus S) still basically has the same processor and a lower res screen than the iPhone 4. In fact, I think the iPhone 4 will easily pass the test of time until September, especially if it gets some iOS 5 goodness in the summer.

I think the Amazon mp3's are of a lower bit rate though. I have a few and that was the case. Perhaps that has changed.
I stil prefer to own CD's and import them. Generally I can find the CD for less than the full album on-line. But I do by from itunes or amazon when I only want one song from an artist.
